Jayalalithaa walks out of NDC meet

New Delhi, December 27: Tamil Nadu Chief
Minister J Jayalalithaa on Thursday walked
out of the National Development Council
meeting, which was also attended by
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in
the national capital.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister walked out of
the meeting after she was interrupted by
the authorities and asked to shorten her
speech.
“I felt humiliated,” Jayalalithaa told
reporters waiting outside.
The AIADMK chief also accused centre of
suppressing the voices of chief ministers of
non-Congress ruled states.
“Centre is trying to stifle voice of chief
ministers of non-Congress ruled states,”
she said in her angry reaction to the issue.
Hitting out at the Centre, Jayalalithaa said,
“No reasonable and legitimate suggestion
was made by states mentioned in draft
Plan document.”
